Boog there is so much I want to say to you. Day after day I find my self thinking about you and I get so made at myself for letting us drift apart the way we did. We use talk everyday and spend the weekends together and the older I got the more I quit talking to you and I'm so sorry for that! But I try not to let my self think of bad things like that instead I think of all our trips to NC with Papa, Nanny, and Chris! We use to give Nanny a run for her money didn't we! I think over and over in my head the night we colored you hair and I made you sing the contract I though Nanny was going to kill us! But she just laught at us! Or the time Papa scared the living daylight out us us when we was down stairs. All those memories I have dosent compare to just being able to have one more day with you! I know you are in a better place and I can only  imagine how beautiful you look in white wings! Keep a look out over the family! I love and miss you so much!

Look at me aunt boog, look at how big I am. I see your face every day because my mommy and daddy show me your picture every day. They tell me that you love me all the time.      I don't know where to start,except to say,"God knows I Love & miss You with every beat of My Heart."  This is a pain that will never go away and Lord, how it hurts each & every day.  Baby, I would give anything to hold You in My arms again & to see that Pretty Smile, even if it's only for just a little while.

There was a young girl, at a very young age,
Killed by a drunken rage on a rainy night.
We close our eyes and see your smiling face -
It hurts so much, even though we know you are in a better place
One sunny day, as we sat and thought of you,
A beautiful butterfly appeared out of the blue.
For the longest time it rested right beside us,
And a peaceful feeling ran through us as if by command.
Then just about the time that we learned to accept God's plan,
Your precious life was taken by the mistake of a Drunken Man.
What was the reason? Was it just fate -
That you left this world to enter heaven's gate?
Such a young age so much more to explore,
Yet it gives us some peace to know, that your walking on streets of Gold!
We all want you here with us!
So we make a wish that God would give you wings!
Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Niece...Our Butterfly!
We often wonder just where you are;
But every time a butterfly is near, it brings to our eyes a peaceful tear -
And on clear nights, we look to the sky;

I Want You To Know

A brief moment of darkness was all that I knew, before Heaven's Gate came into my view. Loved ones and friends I had missed for many years, welcomed me with open arms and many happy tears. All the hurt, fear and pain that I have ever known, is gone from my life, I am finally home. I gazed upon the Lord's sweet smiling face, and for the first time in my life I knew and felt His grace. I know that you miss me, but please dry your eyes. I will always be watching and loving you from my home in the sky. A cool breeze on your face, a touch of light rain, I will send as a reminder that we will be reunited again. Life on earth is but one brief moment in time, I am finally home, Eternity is mine.

     Today as I stood staring into space on the back porch, like I do almost every day, I  was feeling sad,confused & lonely, I noticed one of God's most precious & beautiful creatures,"The Butterfly".

     I watched it in amazement,You see this butterfly began to fly around me & Our Dog, Misty, hovering overhead as if it wanted me to forget everything else I was thinking or doing & take notice of it.  I  also noticed it primping in front of the sliding glass door as if it were checking out its own beauty & making sure its colors matched.  Finally, this butterfly landed on a plant of ours right next to me as if it was posing for a picture. 

     It was then & there that I gave in and said aloud, "Okay Jessalyn, I see you, let me go get the camera."  If you knew Jessalyn like I do, You would understand why she would choose to take the shape of a butterfly, She wouldn't stop trying to get your attention until She made sure You noticed her, She would primp in front of a mirror for hours to make sure everything was just right and she never held back when it came to showing her true colors.

    I grabbed my camera & took this picture so you all can witness her beauty & eagerness to let us know She still likes to have her picture taken!  My frown turned into a smile as I thanked her for coming to visit me at such a needing time .  This was not the first time, A butterfly has demanded My attention since Jessalyn passed away,She shows up when I need her presence the most, But today My Daughter posed for me  and brought me a smile.......

                  

                            

  It  was my dream that died,
